Arpit Phillips
Photographer and producer. I shoot architecture, interiors and hospitality, and I build the imaging tools I use.
Day to day I work at Photographix, an imaging studio covering interiors, architecture and hospitality. Alongside it I take independent commissions, which is what this site is for.
The other half of my work is colour. I shoot a Fujifilm X-T5 and build film simulation recipes the long way round: starting from the manufacturer's own datasheet for a film stock, reading its characteristic curves and grain figures, and translating those into in-camera JPEG settings. The flagship recipes are then checked against real film scans, frame by frame.
That work lives under NaroLabs: a recipe bank, a knowledge layer explaining why each setting exists, and a YouTube channel where you can watch the recipes get made on camera.
The two halves are more connected than they look. Knowing precisely how a sensor renders a colour stops being a hobby when the job is making a hotel suite look like itself at seven in the morning.
